XOCÔ
2.30

XOCÔ, aka Mestre Sérgio Xocolate is on a mission to bridge the cultural and musical gaps, bringing the vibrant traditions of Afro Indigenous Brazilian rhythms into the contemporary music scene.

XOCÔ's album, recently launched to international critical acclaim yet is more than just a record; it's a cultural exchange, a musical journey and an homage to Sérgio's Afro and Indigenous heritage as a descendent of the XUKURÚ, PATAXÓ & PANKARARÚ Nations in northeastern Pernambuco Brazil, uniting ancestral rhythms with psychedelic rock, blues, funk and even drum & bass.

XOCÔ’s Canadian debut is arranged and produced by long-time friend, the Brazilian-born and Montreal-based award-winning, multi-instrumentalist Rommel. XOCÔ's self-titled release follows up on his massive hit single with Pedro Luis and Flávio Guimarães, ‘Girando Na Renda’ which reached top five on Brazilian radio.

As a Master teacher of Traditional Capoeira celebrating a forty year practice, XOCÔ's career as a multi-talented artist is recognized world wide for his dedication and contributions to music, culture and education.

Mestre Xocolate dons the regalia of the Caboclo de Lança- warrior protector entity of the Traditional Maracatu Rural- with its distinctive movements- a recognizable cultural representation of Pernambuco and is the only known lineage holder and representative in Northern Turtle Island and likely all of 'North America'.

Sérgio Xocolate embodies the spirit of preserving Afro Indigenous Brazilian heritage while forging new musical frontiers.
