My name is Anna Chang. I am a 19 year old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Toronto, but am currently studying Recorded Music at New York University. I have a growing passion for songwriting, collaboration, sound engineering and playing live! Some of my biggest inspirations range from The Lumineers folk music to Smokey Robinsons songwriting. WAAHLI

Waahli is a Montreal artist born of Haitian parents. Raised in a family where music is omnipresent, he is immersed by the traditional Haitian melodies with artists such as Tabou Combo, Coupé Cloué or Manno Charlemagne. He learned to play the guitar on his own. In spite of a great influence of Haitian music, it is with Hip-Hop that he develops his own style.
In 2004, Waahli co-founded Nomadic Massive, a mythical hip hop group in Montreal. Still active, the group has just completed a new EP recorded during a tour in South America. At the same time, Waahli felt the need to develop a solo project. In 2018, he released his first album ''Black Soap'' followed in 2020 by the EP ''Soap Opera'', Soap Box in 2022 and recently Saponification 2023. His energetic performance leaves the audience wanting more. He uses his multidisciplinary skills to branch out and express himself by painting a thoughtful musical landscape. Integrating elements of afrofuturism in the aesthetic of his sounds, Waahli brings an authentic voice by bridging his ancestral past to the present and future. Waahli's innovative hip-hop takes us to the four corners of the world.
Waahli is one of the 6 Révélations Radio Canada 2023-2024 since May 2023. He was nominated as well at ADISQ as Best Album of the Year for Multilingues and Other Languages and he is nominated at the Juno Awards for Global Music Album of the Year.
