BITCH STICK
2.45
Apathy-fueled chaos and self-destruction. Respite, hope, and uncertainty. Finding love, overcoming shame. Searching for purpose despite needing to pay rent. Such highs and lows of being a young person and coming to terms with yourself and the world around you are the focus of Bitch Stick.
Bitch Stick is an alternative rock band from Toronto, Canada that blends post-punk and grunge influences with heartfelt introspection and sweet, yearning melodies. Their songs mix the direct with the experimental, ranging from fast, distorted outbursts to soft, moody ballads. These songs feature guitars dripping with texture and tension, pulsing synths, and frantic drums, creating quiet moments and dance-y anthems. Throughout it all, lead singer Olivia Gordon tirelessly wears her heart on her sleeve, with reflections that are endlessly relatable for anyone going through life with an open heart.
Formed in 2021, Bitch Stick has released seven singles that showcase their diverse sonic palette and their introspective ambition, tackling themes of misogyny, assault, and addiction while backed by distorted guitars and spacey synths. With femininity and feminism intrinsic to their music, they bring a punk-rock ethos to a time of growing misogyny and inequality. Their debut album, Wouldn’t Miss It, will be released on July 11th, 2025.
